Up to eight lucky travelers can stay in this beautiful five-bedroom home, located on a quiet street where bougainvillea spill over gates and walls and oceanfront is a stone's throw away. The outdoor living space is tranquil and inviting—there’s a huge tiled deck with lounge chairs and a dining table, barbecue grill and a freshwater pool that simply glistens. The well-tended garden of palm trees and flowers are abundant, and you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of a postcard. Inside, there are five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, each featuring comfortable furnishings and clean and colorful décor. Twin-, queen-, and king-sized beds occupy these rooms that are spread out between the two floors, so everyone in your group can be accommodated and will be thrilled with their selection. Central air-conditioning, ceiling fans and oversized tile floors keep the home nice and cool, which is a welcome feature in the tropics. The large living room boasts a super soft and comfy couch, floor-to-ceiling glass doors that reveal terrific views of the pool, a cleverly designed staircase, plus a big LCD TV with plenty of English channels in the extensive cable lineup. There’s a DVD player and movie library, and Wi-Fi can be accessed from every room in the home. A small office desk is tucked into this space for those who want to check in with work, family or friends. The modern and fully equipped kitchen will likely inspire you to take advantage of all the fresh local ingredients on the island and whip up your own feasts. Casa Jen has all the ingredients you need to make that happen in the form of stainless-steel appliances; a fantastic granite countertop with plenty of elbow room; abundant mahogany-toned cabinets; new gas range; smaller but necessary appliances like a blender, microwave and coffee pot; dishes, utensils and pots and pans; and a brilliantly decorated dining room with seating for eight. You can enjoy drinks by the pool (grab a beach towel that your hosts have provided) or take that short walk to the oceanfront promenade and downtown Cozumel. There are fancy shops, T-shirt and souvenir stores, a wide array of local vendors with authentic Mexican apparel, upscale restaurants and casual local eateries with lower price points, plus duty-free stores and bars galore. This is also where the ferry and cruise ship terminals are located, which means you can hook up with any one of dozens of SCUBA or snorkeling guides and enjoy the underwater world of Cozumel—a truly breathtaking experience and one you won’t find anywhere else. Location Reviews   March 31, 2018 Sandra Great location, quiet neighborhood a block from Av. Rafael E. Melgar (main street) so it was very easy to walk a block and hail a cab when needed. Nice little restaurant across the street that's only open for breakfast, with great coffee and friendly people. Easy walking distance to Chedraui (large grocery store). Lots of restaurants within walking distance or a quick cab ride if you're not into walking. Big kitchen with everything you would need if you want to cook! Great communication with the local manager, she is very friendly and helpful. The pool is great and all the outdoor living spaces are fantastic. Loved all the sliding doors leading out to the pool area from bedrooms and living room. Great A/C and ceiling fans keep all the rooms very comfortable. Strong wifi. A few things to know ahead of time: To get into the master bedroom, you have to walk through another bedroom. This wasn't a big deal for us but might be for others. You can also use the sliding door from the main house, go outside, and then use the sliding door into the master as a work around. There isn't much usable closet space. The "closet" in the master bedroom is actually a store room full of stuff, with a closet bar and a few hangers. In another room what appeared to be a nice large closet was locked. Neither of these were horrible, just kind of surprising. Hint: None of the taxi's knew the house by name, and the addresses in Mexico can be confusing, so we just took a photo of the address on the front of the house and showed it to the drivers :-) Also: There is a peacock across the street! Everyone had their own room, and was quite comfortable. The kitchen was large and accommodating. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing with a large patio, plenty of seating and the BBQ was a great addition.
My only complaints were that the cable was out on the TV (not a big deal, as we weren't there to watch TV anyway), we ran out of drinkable water on our first night there and had to buy our own, and the maid was a bit snoopy when organizing our belongings (she never stole anything, but she touched and rearranged all of our personal items, and seemed to hide some of our items in strange places. Maybe hoping we wouldn't find them?)

Overall this is a great rental property. It is considerably cheaper than most other rental options of the same size on the island. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a large private villa in Cozumel. The house was even larger than I thought and the outdoor/pool area was such a pleasant area to relax. I enjoyed being so close to town and able to walk to the store and restaurants. The unit is very well managed with someone next door to help with anything you need. November 20, 2012 “Casa Jen was an excellent choice for our vacation.” Holly in Austin The house was very nice. The kitchen was equiped with anything you could need and a full frigerator was provided for guests. There was adequate fresh water provided. The pool was well maintained. There was daily maid service to make the beds, replace towels, do the dishes and mop.
My one problem was that the mo pwater must have been dirty decause if you walked on the floor barefooted you would have to give them a good scrubbibng prior to climbing into bed.
